"Botox" or wrinkle relaxers are used to treat "dynamic" lines or wrinkles. The neuromodulator we use is Dysport and is Health Canada approved. Small injected doses will temporary block the muscles capacity to contract. Dysport lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months, yet individual results will vary.
Before the day of your appointment, avoid alcoholic beverages.
Avoid any substances that affect platelet function, such as aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., Advil, Motrin), and supplements of fish oil, vitamin E, and St. John’s Wort. These substances may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or hair removal creams in the area of treatment.
Do not apply makeup in the area of treatment before the appointment.
Inform us if you have any allergies, chances of being pregnant, any neurological or autoimmune diseases.
