Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler used to stimulate collagen production and restore facial volume lost due to aging. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which works gradually over time to improve skin structure and elasticity.

How it works?

Sculptra is mixed with sterile water and injected into the deep dermis using a fine needle or cannula. The water in the mixture provides initial volume, but this is temporary and fades within a few days as the body absorbs the liquid. The poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microparticles remain in the skin and trigger the body’s natural inflammatory response, which activates fibroblast cells to produce new collagen. Over several weeks to months, as fibroblasts work, new collagen replaces lost volume, strengthening and improving skin elasticity.

Sculptra results develop over 3-6 months as collagen builds up. This leads to progressive volume restoration, improving facial contours and softening wrinkles naturally. It is recommended for 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for best results. Results can last 2 years or longer, making it one of the longest-lasting injectable treatments.
